Liberty Township is the smallest of the thirteen townships in Butler County, but one of the fastest growing areas in southwest Ohio. Named for Liberty, Pennsylvania, Liberty Township was named at that the suggestion of John Morrow, a resident in the township at the time of its formation in 1803.
