Making New Year’s resolutions doesn’t have to revolve around quitting an old habit or picking up a new one. It could be as simple (and tangible) as upgrading your kitchen. Take a risk with colored or patterned tiles. Instead, use an alternative material like wood. One rising trend is extending your backsplash beyond the bottom of the cabinets all the way to ceiling.
